This virtual panel was hosted by the the American Public Health Association Human Rights Forum and Peace Caucus and brings together the perspectives of leading scientists and public health professionals speaking to the critical impact of war and conflict on the health and well-being of refugees as well as recommendation to support health communities around the world. Speakers, including Peace Caucus members Dr. Rohini Haar and Dr. Shelley White, brought a critical lens to the discussion, articulating the importance of primary prevention based on their extensive work on the weaponization of health in conflict and movement building at the U.S.-Mexico border, respectively.
